What we do

The Salon is a modern gathering space designed for people who want more real-life connection but find socializing a bit overwhelming. The Salon is a welcoming space for thoughtful, curious individuals - including those who are neurodiverse or who sometimes navigate experiences like anxiety or low mood.

For young adults, we host small, welcoming get-togethers in suburban Washington D.C. where it’s easy to meet others, try fun activities, and just be yourself - no pressure, no awkwardness. It’s a gentle way to build community, confidence, and joy, one meaningful hang-out at a time.

The Salon Junior is a more structured version of our regular Salon for middle schoolers and early high schoolers. Included are specific structured activities that support emerging socialization skills. It’s a fun space to talk about big ideas, build confidence, and practice social skills through real conversations. Think curiosity, connection, and plenty of laughs.
