Kitty Wicks, LCSW
Programming Director and Host
Kitty Wicks is an award-winning psychotherapist who has practiced in Arlington and McLean for over 25 years. Kitty specializes in working with children, adolescents and young adults who are neurodivergent or who are experiencing anxiety or depression. She has run many different kinds of groups for adolescents and young adults with neurodiversity, mood disorders, and sensory/regulatory issues. Some of her groups have included tabletop games, training for a 5K race, traditional social skills groups, and “birthday party meets boot camp” fitness classes. She was voted top child therapist in 2020 by Arlington Magazine, which covers McLean, Falls Church, and Arlington. She has appeared on Good Morning Washington providing guidance and resources for ADD/ADHD and Anxiety. Learn more about Kitty here.
Charlie Phillips, BS. C.Ed.
Chief Operating Officer and Host
Charlie Phillips, a James Madison University graduate, is an educator who has 15 years of experience creating captivating courses in both professional and recreational settings with a variety of populations. Charlie’s work has included planning and facilitating programs in board games, fitness, and tabletop roleplaying games. Charlie lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and two kittens.
John Lindsay
Program Intern and Host
As program intern at The Salon, John brings with him a strong background in volunteer work with neurodiverse populations. John is passionate about creating a welcoming space for everyone and is eager to join us in hosting gatherings for The Salon.
